I qualified a a Speech and Language Therapist at DeMontfort university in 2004. I have been working in paediatrics for the NHS for 13 years. In the past few years I have been developing my specialism in dysfluency as well as children with complex needs. Working with dysfluent children and teens has always been the most rewarding part of my job. I guest lecture at several local universities on the topic of supporting children with speech, language and communication needs. Last year I began working independently with the Owl Therapy Centre. In the summer of 2017 I have left the NHS and work independently with children, most of whom are children who stammer and I have just begun a new job working part time with adults with complex needs. I'm really looking forward to working with the National fluency CEN to organise the study days.
